AN EXERPT FROM THE FINAL PROJECT FROM THE PERSPECTIVE OF ‘THE HISTORIAN’
As a trans person in the year 2043, I wish to record to the best of my abilities, the times and the struggles of these people. I am no professional, being a database manager by trade, I wanted to make this topic more accessible than the academic papers written about it. My goal here is to make a compilation of the people in this community, their writing, their art, their symbols, their slogans. The main aim with this project however, was to get a single photo.
Essentially all information: photographs, poems, diaries, books, etc written within or about this commune was either physically burned, or erased. Cromwell’s fascist state in the UK used advanced AI viruses to scour all computers of ‘illegal’ data, including information from within these communes, which made this project nigh on impossible.
I started work 10 years ago in 2033, a week after Cromwell was hung by the revolutionary forces. I remembered of the communes, when I was just twelve, they were made out to be so evil, and I would struggle to exorcise that ‘evil’ out of myself as I grew up also. After the fall of the fascist state here, I needed to find the truth behind this commune.
